ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Sundus, a British-trained General Practitioner, certified in Lifestyle Medicine, and a Health Coach. With over two decades of experience practicing medicine in the UK and Singapore, I've witnessed a significant surge in obesity and chronic conditions.

Having a personal family history marked by diabetes, dementia, and cancer, I've come to realise the limitations of modern medicine in addressing the root causes of preventable diseases. Often, interventions occur only at the later stages when symptoms manifest. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the advancements in modern medicine and the lives saved, however the escalating burden of chronic diseases demands a shift in our approach in both medical care and public health messaging.

As a busy, working mother myself, I understand the constraints of time. That's why my approach is personalised and tailored to each patient's needs, focusing and building on small positive changes that contribute to optimal health both now and in the future.

My mission

My passion for holistic and preventative care led me to pursue additional training in Lifestyle Medicine and Health Coaching. My mission is to guide and empower patients to make realistic, values-aligned, and sustainable health choices, employing evidence-based Lifestyle Medicine practices.

My vision

My vision is that the principles of Lifestyle Medicine are established as the standard of care for every patient, ensuring that "Lifestyle is Medicine" becomes a fundamental tenet of care that is accessible to all.

As a university educator and a founding member of the Singaporean Society of Lifestyle, I hope to impart my knowledge to fellow healthcare professionals, students and the public.
